Jeff Baird - Director of Fitness Development

Jeff BairdAs Director of Fitness Development Jeff applies an impressive academic and athletic background to the advancement of the BLAST900 concept. Having earned his MD at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2004, he decided to rededicate his health and wellness expertise to the fitness industry. A black belt in Kung Fu with over a decade of experience as a martial arts instructor, coach and national competitor, Jeff is also an AFAA Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Boot Camp Instructor, and is a Les Mills Certified Group Fitness Instructor in BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT.

 

 

 





Kyla Barbour

Kyla BarbourGraduate of Marist School and ten time State Champion in Cross Country/Track and Field, Kyla set the record in 1994, and still holds the fastest time run on a Georgia State Cross Country Course. During her college running career at Boston College, she was a full scholarship Division I Athlete in Cross Country/Indoor/Outdoor Track, and was a member of the USA World Cross Country Team. Kyla has completed 6 marathons and finished in the Top 20 US Women in the 2003 Boston Marathon. Her best marathon was the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon, with a running a time of 2:50:47 and an overall 3rd place finish. 
With the Atlanta Track Club Team in 2009, she ran in Hood to Coast Relay in Portland, OR, and was honored as the MVP of the race. She coached Cross Country/Track at the Lovett School for four years, and now privately coaches runners of all ages and abilities.

 

 




Paige Castor

Jeff BairdPaige is a UGA graduate with a degree in marketing. She was a member of the two-time national champion equestrian team, and is a former competitive swimmer. She holds a personal training certificate through ISSA, and is also BODYPUMP, TRX and RPM (spinning) certified. She recently developed a passion for running half marathons. Although an Atlanta native, Paige's modeling and acting career exposed her to first-class fitness establishments and professionals in Chicago, Miami, New York and London. Along with her own professional experience, she brings a wealth of national and international innovation to her BLAST instruction.

 

 

 

 



Jay Langham

Jeff BairdAthletic from a young age, Jay has been in and around the fitness industry since 1998. Jay took his love for physical fitness to the next level when he became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2007. In addition to personal training, Jay used his certification to instruct Boot Camps and Kickboxing classes. Jay is CrossFit Level One and CrossFit Kettlebell certified, and is always looking to add to and apply his fitness knowledge. Jay is married and a father of two. He works full-time as an Account Manager in the landscape field, but always makes time to achieve his personal fitness goals and assist others in achieving their fitness goals.

 

 

 

 




Jake Mclendon

Jeff BairdBefore opening Adrenaline Fitness, Jake worked in the fitness industry for over eight years as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and group fitness instructor. Jake is a leader in the fitness industry, incorporating strength training, nutrition, and group exercise into a single vision of health and wellness. In addition to being the president of Adrenaline Fitness and Wellness, Inc. and general manager of Adrenaline Fitness, Jake is an active group fitness instructor for Fusion (CrossFit certified), TRX, BODYCOMBAT, BODYPUMP, BODYFLOW, and Power Yoga. Christie Moquin - Marketing Director

Christie MoquinChristie's introduction to the health and fitness community began with ballet classes at a very young age. Her dedication to the form and discipline of dance shifted to a passion for instructing Kickboxing, Body Sculpt and Boot Camp classes at American University in Washington, DC, where she also earned her Honors B.A. in Psychology. Christie was a sales representative and assistant manager for Fitness First Health Clubs, a DC-area health club chain, before beginning a graduate-level certificate course in education at George Washington University. Having taught Pre-Kindergarten for two years in suburban Maryland, Christie moved from DC to Atlanta in 2009, when she decided that fitness could no longer be just a part-time hobby. As Marketing Director she is excited to be back in the business world promoting and building the BLAST buzz. 

 

 




Cathy O'meara

Jeff BairdCathy is an accomplished, inspiring group exercise instructor and personal trainer. She is also a competitive long distance runner, having finishing 2nd in Female Master's in the brutally challenging 2009 Labor Day 10K Classic and 3rd in her age group at the 2009 Atlanta Thanksgiving Half Marathon. Cathy graduated from UGA and has advanced certifications from ACE, AFAA, BODYPUMP, Group Power, Step Reebok and Pilates. She is a CEC provider and master class presenter to other instructors, and has motivated and taught students at top clubs in Chicago, Los Angeles, Connecticut, New York and Atlanta for more than 20 years. She complements her fitness lifestyle with travel and cooking. Cathy's biggest accomplishment however is being a mother to her 3 young children and wife to her husband of 21 years!

 





Matt Sexton

Jeff BairdHaving spent six years of honorable and distinguished service in the USAF Special Forces as a JTAC, Matt brings an authentic commitment to a physically intense lifestyle. After four years of experience as a military combat fitness trainer, he decided to diversity and cross over into the civilian world of health and fitness by becoming a certified instructor in TRX, BODYFLOW, and YogaFit. When not teaching BODYCORE or TRX, you can find Matt at PDK Flight Academy working toward his his helicopter pilot's license, pursuing his PADI Divemaster certification, or hanging out with his two wiener dogs, Jack and Lilly.

 

 

 

 

 




Richard Shaw, MS, CSCS, LMT

Jeff BairdRichard began his personal training career in a small boxing gym in Savannah, GA. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Master’s degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University. He also attended the Atlanta School of Massage and incorporates therapeutic massage into his personal training business. His main focus as a trainer is improving flexibility and correcting muscular imbalances for his clients. Richard is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is certified in Group Exercise through AFAA and holds the ACPT certification as well. He has played a variety of sports, including football, rugby, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. He also enjoys competing in distance races and triathlons. Richard is currently the Director of the National Personal Training Institute in Alpharetta. Bri Shrier

Jeff BairdGroup Fitness Certifications: BODYFLOW, BODYPUMP, BODYJAM, BODYSTEP, Nesta Sport Yoga, Spencer Pilates, YogaFit, TRX. Bri is a recent marine biologist import from Washington state. When not defending the underwater world you can find her working out, supporting the Braves and reading scuba magazines. Bri's first love was BODYFLOW, but she likes to mix it up with BODYSTEP and BODYPUMP, and has most recently become enchanted with HOT YOGA and TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING..

 

 

 






Ann Marie Weeks

Ann Marie WeeksAnn Marie has always enjoyed being physically active, and first started teaching Aerobic and Step classes while attending college.  Since then and through the past 20 years she has taught Body Pump, Boot Camp, Spinning, Kickboxing and Body Sculpt classes. Over the years, Ann Marie’s view of exercise has changed. Initially, it was an effective weight loss method, a social outlet and a form of stress relief.  But now at age 42, Ann Marie embraces exercise as a means to maintaining healthy muscles, bones and joints. This busy mom of Aidan, Noah and Brody loves teaching BLAST900, and truly believes it to be the most effective one-hour you can spend working out.
